short bio / explanation of why/what is the whole X A and yea, thusly XianghuaALPHA thing is

And by short, I mean yea.

[ and yes. This IS easier than pointing you to a entry or telling EACH one by hand... :-P ]

XianghuaALPHA originated from play and respect. Originally being a old video game freak back in the mid 80's and till about mid 90's, I had a respect for one on one fighting games. In late 98 I ran across a videogame called Soul Calibur - a "3d" fighting game of accuracy and precision that I

just couldn't ignore. I was interested in it due to studying a style of fighting for a comic book character I was making up [yes I was still semi-solid in the 'I wanna be a comic artist' back then; or it was a way to pass time heh] I played with a friend that had a mutual reason to play, he wanted to design a character that fought with a Chinese sword, and I - a character with a Bo staff. Eventually I started playing - just for the fun of it though. One of the arcade owner's noticed me, offered to help me out, in the likelihood I could become better and 'carry on the good fight' of keeping not jus one or 2 of the current guys as un-rivaled. I thus was 'trained' by this AC owner going by the online handle Dr_Xianghua, and in his main character - the Chinese sword character - Xianghua. As I was also becoming 'active online' about that time, and was in need of a handle, so it only seemed logical at the time to take up his naming style, and use X's name in there somewhere. Since I was playing her first and foremost Alpha seemed logical, also it gave a rank of lower play below his tutelage. Overtime it changed to Xianghua First - and showing that I wanted to be one of the top X players in the states.

Year's passed in the game and play and Xianghua went from Soul Calibur 1 to Soul Calibur 2 [sc2] and I stuck with my character not only due to being 'trained', but I really appreciate flow and the challenge of small vs large - as often the case is. Her flow was awesome, and I like the idea of style and substance.

While Namco sold out the hardcore crowd alot with the next version of Soul Calibur - Soul Calibur 2 - I stuck with it, and my handle. With few names before or after the X A persona am I known for or stuck - so - truncating down for ease of use [Xianghua is too hard for most people haha] and to take from my personal sig that I used for just about every online post I've made - "X A" I took on the initial's and thus the name permanently. Or as permanent as anything online I guess. It - just seems to continue to stick. Thus - I'm X A.
